    About this opportunity:Scotland's Garden Scheme has teams of volunteers across Scotland that support gardens to open for charity. As a district volunteer, you play and important role by assisting with posters, road signs, refreshments, car parking and occasionally even some last-minute gardening! It's a very varied role, flexible to fit in with your other commitments and ideal if you love gardens and enjoy working as part of a team. Garden openings take place mainly on weekends between February and September, but it's not essential to be at every opening. You can also choose to specialise in a particular area such as refreshments, depending on what you enjoy doing. This is a great opportunity to raise money for charity, visit beautiful gardens and meet new people.

    Minimum age:18
    Maximum age:100
    Training provided:The volunteer will shadow the District Organiser and other district volunteers to learn the role. Support is available from the District Organiser and the Volunteer Manager.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Expenses associated with the role by agreement with the District Organiser. They're not generally able to mileage, except for specific national events and training.

    Experience required:A love of gardens and a desire to support the work of SGS; good communication skills; enjoy working as part of a team; adaptable and enthusiastic; physically fit

    Travel DetailsThis opportunity takes place across Fife, but the Scheme try to assign you to local gardens to reduce necessary travel. You will still need your own transport.
