Care and Share Companionship is a Scottish Registered Charity. We support people over the age of 60 who are living in isolation and loneliness within the Kirkcaldy area of Fife. Our aim is to provide a service that helps improve health and wellbeing. As a Trustee your responsibilities will be to ensure the Charity complies with its governing document. To ensure, protect and manage the financial stability of the Charity for the benefit of the people we support. To contribute actively and be committed, giving direction to achieve the aims and values of the Charity. To attend and participate in regular Board Meetings, at present via Zoom. Volunteer will receive a Trustee Handbook and introduced to members of the Board.
Ongoing training opportunities may be available from FVA and other Third Sector support organisations i.e. Befriending Networks.
Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - Bus fares reimbursed on face value of ticket.
Mileage 45p per mile.
Has good communication and people skills and has some knowledge/experience in one or more of the following areas - IT, finance, fundraising, marketing or social enterprise.
