    About this opportunity:Cycle Speedway is a grassroots cycle sport based on the same principles as motorbike speedway - 2 riders from each of 2 teams race round an oval track. There are no brakes or gears on the bike, so skill and stamina are essential. The sport is fast and tactical awareness is needed.
    Fife Cycle Speedway (FCS) was established in December 2016. They race in the British Northern Division 2 league and the the newly crowned 2018 champions. The season runs from March to October.
    This role is suitable for someone with a keen enthusiasm of competitive sport and cycling specifically. You should have a 'get up and go' attitude to promoting FCS and the sport in general in our wider community.
    You should have a sound knowledge of all aspects of cycling and a commitment to deliver training sessions.
    You will be alongside our Head Coach and with the best team in Britain in 2018.

    Training provided:You will be given the opportunity to gain your British Cycling Coaching Certificate.

    Experience required:FCS needs someone with a commitment & enthusiasm to cycling & obtaining their coaching qualification. Good communication & organisational skills are essential. Experience of writing applications for funding is desirable.

    Restrictions on who can volunteer
    To obtain a British Cycling Coaching qualification, applicants must be at least age 18.
