Kennoway Community Shed is a place for all people over 18 years old to encourage and support each other or just enjoy the company. The aim is to improve the village through various projects, such as flower planters, bird boxes, squirrel boxes (made from old wooden pallets), plant wild flowers and shrubs. It is hoped that the group will become active in improving the town centre, and green spaces which in turn will make the village cleaner and the streets safer. Volunteers who come along can learn or teach cooking/baking, making cheap and nutritious meals, arts & crafts, build model boat kits then see them working in the water, basic computer skills, podcasts, golf, walks or start a project of the volunteer's own choice or just chat over a cuppa. Interested? Come along and give it a try.
Volunteers will get a tour of the shed, and be shown what tools/machines are available to use. If they are confident to use them, they will be shadowed then left alone to carry out any projects
