    About this opportunity:If you are a patient, friendly, sociable person, and are capable in providing a welcoming environment for people with dementia and their carers. You would be expected to provide information about the Playlist for Life music tracks. This music taps into the fact that meaningful music has the ability to improve the life for people with dementia, as well as their family and their carers. Playlist for Life is far more than listening to music. It is about creating personal connections. It fosters understanding and empowers family carers as well as ensuring professional care is more person related. The position will require the person to set up a help point in a designated area. Engage with visitors, their families and carers, as well as how to access and use Playlist for Life. The volunteer will be expected to serve tea/coffee to visitors. The position requires simple administrative tasks to be carried out, after each session.

    Minimum age:18
    Maximum age:100
    Training provided:Information and training provided by Library Service Development Team (Adult Services). Standard induction, welcome pack provided.

    Experience required:Patience/understanding, as Help Point visitors may be living with dementia to varying degrees, meaning that they requirie more time to process/understand instructions. Friendly, sociable and happy to converse with visitors. Knowledge of a PC to help the v
