    About this opportunity:LinkLiving provide support to adult service users with a range of ages and varying physical and mental health conditions. 1-2 volunteers are needed to support the service users (and their support staff) to arrange and facilitate service users' wishes.
    Some service users may like the opportunity to run activities/groups themselves so the volunteer would support them to do this. This would involve meeting with service users on an individual basis or in groups to research interest in activities and identifying people who would be interested in organising and participating in events. The role would also involve:-
    Researching venues, materials, travel and costs.
    Liaising with staff members.
    Helping organise publicity and promotion of activities with support from staff.
    Gathering feedback about activities from service users and staff.
    Contributing to the service user newsletter.

    Takes place:
    Minimum age:16
    Maximum age:no upper age limit has been specified
    Training provided:Volunteers will receive induction and ongoing training and support.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Travel expenses reimbursed weekly on production of tickets. Mileage paid at 25 per mile.

    Experience required:LinkLiving are looking for:- Someone with a person-centred approach who will work with service users in a non-judgemental, friendly, respectful and professional manner. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Good listening skills. Good IT skills.
