  About this opportunity:	During the holiday activities the children need to get 'out and about' as much as possible, whether to the park, beach or museums (weather permitting). The Centre has a policy of inclusion for any youngster who would benefit from interaction with other children or new experiences. This particular 7 year old requires constant supervision and guidance, especially when out of the Centre, crossing roads and encountering unfamiliar surroundings. If the match between volunteer and child is successful, by mutual consent this may continue during term time. The youngster could then participate in activities on days and at times to suit both the family and the volunteers. Due to the nature of the work we do, all volunteers must be willing to undertake clearance through the PVG scheme. There would be no cost to the volunteers for this to be done. The volunteers will be included in any outings we have planned, with all costs covered by the Centre.
  Takes place:	mornings afternoons evenings Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays Saturdays Sundays
  Minimum age:	18
  Maximum age:	no upper age limit has been specified
  Training provided:	Induction and training will be done in-house by senior members of the staff team - they are always on hand for guidance and support.
  Out of pocket expenses paid?	Yes - Public transport rates, reimbursement as required.
  Experience required:	Good interaction with children, good communicator, patience. Common sense, good judgement, working in a team situation. Previous experience of working with children who have additional support needs would be preferable, but not essential.
