Tayport Community Garden has been a growing space since 2015 and offers a lovely opportunity for organisations, groups, families and individuals of all abilities to work, learn and socialise together. We grow a wide range of vegetables and plants and work with people of all ages. The main requirements for volunteering in the garden are an interest in gardening, growing food & working with others outdoors in the polytunnel. We welcome people of all ages and you will learn more about environmental issues and growing and eating local and seasonal. The purpose of the community garden is to help to promote positive change in our community and you can participate in lots of free events and workshops as well as helping others to try gardening and growing their own food.
You will receive an induction and introduction to the Community Garden and our range of tools and equipment. This will include health and safety introduction. two experienced members of staff will be on site at all times so you will receive good support and supervision. you can attend other training/gardening sessions at the Garden to learn more about growing food and environmental issues and training sessions on other issues linked to the garden including IT and publicity skills.

The Tayport Community Garden is situated at the end of Pond Lane in Tayport and is open on Sundays from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm, Mondays from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm and Wednesdays from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. Staff will always be on hand to support you.
Please come by bike, bus or foot if you can. If you need to use your car, parking is available on Queen Street opposite the tennis court. Car access to the garden via Pond Lane is restricted to people with a disability.
This opportunity is compatible with the Saltire Awards for volunteers aged 12-25.
