Volunteer Minutes Secretary Volunteer Opportunity No. VO65497 - Created/last updated: 04/08/2020 | ![]() Opportunity |
About this opportunity: | The volunteer will support Sustainable Cupar, a SCIO since 2011. Trustees (all volunteers themselves) are expanding activities to promote Cupar as a thriving, sustainable, future-proof community. The trustees are a friendly and community-spirited group, now seeking an additional volunteer to increase capacity. Sustainable Cupar has designed an active travel network and has signed walking/cycling routes across the town. We re-instated the Moor Road core path to Ceres. Sustainable Cupar is now planning a route, away from traffic, linking south to north. Trustees engage with planners and developers to optimise the sustainability of all new builds in the town, particularly pressurizing for heat networks, solar power and achieve travel permeability. The Fruit and Blossom Group (FAB) has delivered a Community Soft Fruit Cage at Elmwood House and a Community Orchard at Millfield, with interpretation board and beautiful outdoor furniture. FAB offers training in fruit-growing and members enjoy working and learning together. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
