    About this opportunity:Witness Service Volunteers will support witnesses attending court in criminal trials. Witnesses who are identified as 'vulnerable' will be referred to the Witness Service in advance and volunteers will arrange to meet them to give information, carry out Pre-Trial Court Familiarisation Visits and answer any questions the person might have. Court Familarisation visits give witnesses an opportunity, before a trial, to see around an empty courtroom and familiarise themselves with the court layout and environment.

    Yes - Yes. We pay public transport rates and milieage, reimbursing volunteers every month: mileage rates are 45p/mile. Where the volunteers is required over lunch time lunches are also reimbursed, but we encourage volunteers to bring a packed lunch to keep cost

    Travel DetailsWhile there are many opportunities available across Fife we are, in particular, looking for volunteers in Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court (KY1 1XQ) - ideally located a short walk from the bus station and train station. There is no parking available however the train station offers a large (free) car park.
