EATS Rosyth are looking for volunteer gardeners to:
Help with regular gardening tasks such as watering, weeding, general maintenance of growing areas. Plant new vegetables/plants. Do some mowing, digging, raking, etc. Keep tool sheds tidy, helping maintain equipment.
Volunteers may be required to help with gardening at any of the Rosyth growing locations e.g. Community garden at Elder Place, planters at Parkgate centre and throughout the town.
Dependent on nature of volunteer role. Gardening induction will take the form of informal chat and demonstration by staff gardeners. Cooking training may require Food Hygiene training, delivered by member of staff.
Out of pocket expenses paid?

Volunteers must be able to contribute to the aims of the project, and this may be through practical help in gardening spaces. Volunteers should also have a friendly, positive attitude and an interest in gardening.

Currently operating mostly from Community Garden, Elder Place, Rosyth. Soon to also have a hub base at 8 Aberlour Street, Rosyth.
This opportunity is compatible with the Saltire Awards for volunteers aged 12-25.
