    with Home-Start Kirkcaldy

    Volunteer Opportunity No. VO47743 - Created/last updated: 17/02/2022

About this opportunity:If you have parenting experience and 2-3 hours a week to spare, why not become a Home-Visiting Volunteer with Home-Start Kirkcaldy and help out a family with young children?
Home-Start Kirkcaldy recruits and trains volunteers who are then matched up with a family with young children. The families are referred to us because they need a bit of support (maybe mum has post-natal depression, is isolated, new to the area, there's lots of children) and our volunteers visit once a week to help out. Our volunteers help with all sorts of practical tasks such as going shopping, getting to appointments, helping out with the children, being a listening ear. Travel and any other out-of-pocket expenses are paid.
