Aberlour are recruiting Befrienders to work with young people living in their residential services who have experienced trauma or abuse. Befrienders will help young people engage in activities, develop their social skills and build confidence. They pride themselves on their person centered focus and strong commitment to the individual development of each child, emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually. They are recruiting volunteer Befrienders to build relationships with children and young people in their residential child care services in fife.
no upper age limit has been specified
Prior to volunteering, new volunteers will be provided with an induction to Aberlour and training in Child Protection and adult protection and Attachment and Resilence. The volunteer will also be required to attend ongoing relevant training as identified by the service.
Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - Any expenses incurred in this role will be reimbursed. Volunteers should submit expenses monthly
