About this opportunity:LIFT OFF is a Scottish Funding Council funded partnership organisation of all the colleges and universities in Fife, Dundee City and Angus, Careers Scotland, the Open University and the four local authorities. LIFT OFF works with secondary schools across the Fife and Tayside region to raise awareness of, and promote access to, college and university among young people facing barriers to post-school education.

Student volunteers from partner colleges and universities are an essential part of the LIFT OFF team. They make a real difference to the young people we work with. Not only do they act as valuable role models but by interacting with young people in school can enthuse them about life at college or university and provide them with excellent information. They also enable us to increase the numbers of sessions we run and the scope of the overall project.
Our volunteering opportunities with young people are lively, fun and rewarding. They give students the opportunity to meet peers from outwith their own institution and to give something valuable back to the community. Our Student Volunteering Programme is designed to provide you an opportunity to develop the soft skills required for any graduate career - communication, team working and leadership.
