  • Garden & Woodland Helper
    with Monimail Tower Project

    Volunteer Opportunity No. VO47363 - Created/last updated: 26/06/2018

About this opportunity:Volunteers have the opportunity to learn about organic horticulture; conservation of walls and woodland management. The contribution of volunteers is crucial in enabling the project to protect and conserve the historic walls and buildings; to maintain the garden in order to offer horticultural education; and to manage the woodland for conservation and fuel. Occasional volunteer days are organised when local volunteers join with project residents in seasonally-appropriate work. This includes preparing beds and planting crops in the spring; weeding and harvesting in our organic vegetable garden; cutting and carrying wood in the winter and clearing vegetation back from the historic perimeter walls.

Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
