About this opportunity:Walk leaders work in pairs to lead short (up to 2.5 mile) walks. The led walks provide an opportunity for social contact which can motivate people to walk regularly, they also overcome the team barrier of walking alone. Walk leaders have an opportunity to meet new people and walk with people. They also have an opportunity to do this outside and keep active themselves. We provide both walk leader training and a basic first aid course. Current leaders have gained a sense of achievment from encourgaing and supporting others. You will be part of a national network of 700 walk leaders in Scotland.
