OpportunityAbout this opportunity: Join Castle Furniture's Van Crew and help make a real difference to individual's and families across Fife. As a Driver's Mate you'll work alongside a driver to collect donated furniture and deliver affordable household items to people in need. Every collection and delivery helps support Castle Furniture Project's mission of reducing furniture poverty while funding vital community services. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, offering the chance to meet new people, stay active and be part of a friendly, supportive team. Full training, ongoing support and volunteer expenses are provided, making this a rewarding opportunity for anyone who enjoys practical work and given back to their community. Takes place: mornings afternoons evenings Mondays 
Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays Saturdays Sundays Minimum age: 18 Maximum age: 100 Training provided: Van crew members will be taken through their manual handling course, tail lift training, driver training/assessments/ and banksman training. Out of pocket expenses paid?

Volunteers must be aged 18 or over due to health and safety requirement's. The role involves manual handling, lifting furniture and working part of a delivery team. Training is manual handling and health and safety will be provided.Application process: Induction/Training; Informal Chat Taster available? No, not for this opportunity. Travel Details The role is based at Castle Furniture Project and involves travelling throughout Fife in one of its vehicles. Volunteers meet at the depot before heading out on planned collections and deliveries. Travel to and from the depot is the volunteer's responsibility travel expenses reimbursed in line with Cast Furniture Project's volunteer expenses policy.
