    About this opportunity:As a Community Resilience Search Support Volunteer, you will assist with search support activities, community resilience initiatives, public events, safety awareness campaigns, and missing vulnerable person searches under appropriate direction. You may also support community-led missing dog searches and take part in training exercises and team activities.

    In return, you'll gain valuable skills in search support, teamwork, communication, community resilience, and Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW). You'll receive ongoing training and support, build confidence, meet like-minded people, and become part of a dedicated volunteer team. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your local community while gaining practical experience, recognised training opportunities, and the satisfaction of helping others when they need support most.

    Training provided:All volunteers will receive an induction, and training on emergency first aid at work, search support awareness, health and safety, communications and teamworking, and community resilience, as well as ongoing development opportunities. Support is available from a dedicated volunteer coordinator. Team training exercises and regular volunteer updates will also be offered.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Re-imbursement of travel expenses are currently being considered on a case-by case basis for all volunteers.

    Experience required:They are looking for volunteers who are reliable and trustworthy, friendly and approachable, community-focused, good team players, willing to learn, respectful of confidentiality, able to remain calm, and comfortable participating in outdoor activities.
