    About this opportunity:Valleyfield Community Club is looking for volunteers for their food pantry which runs every Tuesday and Wednesday, providing food to people in the community in High Valleyfield.

    There are a range of tasks that volunteers can get involved with, including sorting food donations, arranging donations on shelves, date checking food, bagging items, assisting customers to select food items, and speaking with customers.

    Their small team of volunteers keeps the pantry running every week. If you would like to make a difference in your local community, reduce food waste, and increase access to food, this could be the right opportunity for you.

    Training provided:An induction to the community club and the pantry will be provided. Further training can be accessed for volunteers. The manager will provide ongoing support for volunteers.

    Yes - Travel expenses are available for volunteers.

    Experience required:Volunteers need to be comfortable speaking to members of the public who access the pantry.
