OpportunityAbout this opportunity: Greener Kirkcaldy is a community-led charity working locally to bring people together, take positive action on the climate emergency and support people through fuel poverty and food insecurity. They have a volunteering role in our Lang Spoon Community Kitchen, a welcoming place to grow confidence, learn new skills and be part of a friendly, climate-conscious food community.
You’ll volunteer as part of a supportive team, helping with food preparation, cooking, serving meals, washing up and creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere. As well as getting to know your fellow volunteers, you'll get to know some of the regular diners and hopefully feel more connected to the community.
This role is ideal if you want to build kitchen confidence, develop practical food skills, or learn more about plant-based, seasonal and climate-friendly cooking. You might be starting out and looking for support, or you may already have experience and enjoy encouraging and supporting others in the kitchen.Takes place: mornings afternoons evenings Mondays 
Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays Saturdays Sundays Minimum age: 11 Maximum age: 100 Training provided: Full induction and REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene training are provided, along with ongoing support and opportunities to learn. Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - We pay Public transport rates every week.Experience required: No previous experience required. A full induction/ taster and ongoing support and training will be given Restrictions on who can volunteer
