OpportunityAbout this opportunity: Would you like to help families build confidence and create positive change in their homes?
Fife Gingerbread is looking for compassionate, practical and encouraging volunteers to join our Household Buddy team. This role is ideal for people who understand that managing a home can become overwhelming when families are experiencing poverty, poor wellbeing, isolation, or other life challenges.
As a Household Buddy, you'll work alongside parents in a supportive and non-judgemental way, helping them regain confidence, motivation and pride in their living space. Rather than simply helping with household tasks, you'll encourage and empower families to develop routines, skills and strategies that support lasting change.
By giving just a few hours of your time, you can help a parent feel more in control, recognise their strengths, and turn a house back into a home.Takes place: mornings afternoons evenings Mondays 
Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays Saturdays Sundays Minimum age: 18 Maximum age: 100 Training provided: All volunteers receive training and support to help them feel confident in their role. Training includes an introduction to Fife Gingerbread, the rights, challenges and barriers facing families, child protection, unconscious bias, boundaries and lone working safety. Ongoing supervision, peer support and shadowing opportunities are also provided. Out of pocket expenses paid?
