Citizen Advocate Volunteer Opportunity No. VO104164 - Created/last updated: 29/04/2026 | ![]() Opportunity |
| About this opportunity: | Citizen Advocates are ordinary people who are interested in safeguarding the rights of vulnerable adults in the community. Citizen Advocacy matches local volunteers with vulnerable adults in the community to provide invaluable support and friendship, giving each individual a chance to have their voice heard, to know their rights, and to be empowered to make informed choices about their lives. Volunteer Advocates spend time getting to know their Partner and understanding what issues are important to them. They provide support to help make decisions, allow their Partner to put forward their own views, and most importantly, are a friendly face and companion. Dunfermline Advocacy matches volunteers with partners based on interests, personality, location etc. Whether it’s a blether over coffee, a game of pool, or a walk in the park, volunteers and their partners choose the activities they do together. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
