  About this opportunity:	Furniture Plus provides affordable furniture to people in Fife through their Dysart and Dunfermline stores, supporting the community and the environment by reducing waste and encouraging reuse. They are looking for a Social Media Assistant to increase their online presence and reach more local people. The main tasks include: • Taking pictures and videos within the store • Researching success stories • Writing social media posts • Monitoring social media messages This is a great opportunity for someone with knowledge of social media to spread awareness of Furniture Plus, while gaining experience of marketing. Typically, a few posts a week will be expected. Volunteers can acquire skills, knowledge and confidence as part of a dynamic team of staff and volunteers.   Takes place:	mornings afternoons evenings Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays Saturdays Sundays
  Minimum age:	16
  Maximum age:	100
  Training provided:	They provide a full induction (Health & Safety). Each volunteer will be partnered up with a fully experienced member of staff to begin with, and there will always be a named contact on hand to provide support.
  Out of pocket expenses paid?	Yes - Travel expenses are paid at 10p per mile for walking, 24p per mile for a motorbike, 45p per mile for driving and full payment for bus tickets. These expenses are available on a case by case basis
  Experience required:	Furniture Plus are happy to receive volunteers who are willing and keen to learn new skills, whilst growing confidence, meeting new people, have fun and feeling part of your local community. A knowledge of different social media platforms, an ability to use technology, and knowledge of marketing would be appreciated.
