    About this opportunity:PICTS is dedicated to alleviating poverty and assisting those in need in Scotland by providing essential care packages, food, clothing and long-term support for veterans, homeless and those living in poverty. The ability to gain funding is essential to their continued success and sustainability.

    They are looking for a grant writer who can identify new funding streams and apply/bid for grants/funding which align with the organisation’s goals. The grant writer will work closely with team members to produce funding bids, and this role can be home based. If you are well organised, proactive, enjoy conducting research and have good written communication skills this may be the role for you.

    Training provided:An induction will be provided, and the volunteer will have the opportunity to spend time with the Operations Manager to review funding applications. Ongoing training will be provided.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Travel expenses will be reimbursed on a case-by-case basis at public transport rates.

    Experience required:Experience of grant writing is desirable but not essential. Planning, research and good time management skills are required for this role as the volunteer will be required to work to tight deadlines. The volunteer must be good at working on their own as well as working as part of a team.
