  About this opportunity:	Include Me provides a free independent Citizen Advocacy service in North East Fife to people aged 16-65 affected by: Physical disabilities, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health Issues, Early Onset Dementia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Brain Injury or Long Term Health Issues and who need help to safeguard their well-being, rights, care and other interests. Include Me is looking for volunteers to join their Management Committee to help shape the organisation, manage operational issues and raise the profile of advocacy in North East Fife. Current committee members have a wide range of skills and experience from a variety of different backgrounds which are invaluable in helping to meet the needs of the vulnerable communities. Applicants do not have to have experience of advocacy or come from a Health & Social Care background but should have a strong sense of social justice and a desire to promote inclusion.
  Takes place:	mornings afternoons evenings Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays Saturdays Sundays
  Minimum age:	18
  Maximum age:	100
  Training provided:	Induction will involve spending time with other committee members and staff to learn about the organisation. Volunteers will be required to complete an online Adult Protection module as well as FVA Trustee training. Ongoing peer support is available.
  Out of pocket expenses paid?	Yes - They pay public transport rates and reimburse volunteers every month. Mileage rate .55p per mile
  Experience required:	Include Me is looking for individuals with a strong sense of fairness and a desire for marginalised groups to be included in society. Volunteers should be reliable and willing to attend meetings both online and in person and should have basic computer skills including the ability to use Microsoft Teams. While knowledge of advocacy or the voluntary sector would be an advantage, it is not necessary as full training is provided.

  Travel Details	Committee meetings are held every 4-6 weeks with the majority taking place online. Face to face meetings are usually held in St Andrews. Support can be given with travel arrangements.
