    About this opportunity:The Macular Society is the UK’s leading sight loss charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world-class research, and the best advice and support. By giving your time, you will help us to reach the thousands of people living with macular disease and sight loss in your area and provide life-changing support. Our groups provide information, support and new friendships to those with macular disease, along with their family and friends.

    Training provided:There are opportunities to attend a taster and visit other local macular groups in Fife, meet with existing volunteers and attend training.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - We can pay public transport rates and can reimburse volunteers every week if needed. Mileage may also be paid if reasonable.

    Taster available?Yes: there are other Macular Society groups in Fife that can be attended to experience a group meeting. Other volunteers will be available for a chat and it is a good opportunity to get a feel for how a group is run.

    Travel DetailsCosmos Community Centre, Abbey Walk, St Andrews - The group meet at the Cosmos Centre in St Andrews on the fourth Tuesday of every month (excluding July and December).

    Saltire AwardThis opportunity is compatible with the Saltire Awards for volunteers aged 12-25.
