    About this opportunity:Nourish provides vital support for families with additional support needs in Fife.

    The Nourish charity shop, located in the Mercat Shopping Centre in Kirkcaldy, plays a large part in the support provided. Activity within the charity shop ensures that vital funds are raised as well as providing a great opportunity for to offer meaningful volunteering opportunities. It is with this in mind that Nourish are seeking additional volunteers to support activity within the charity shop. The role will be a wonderful opportunity to learn and apply many life skills.

    Typical tasks involved in the role are:

    - receiving donations from the public and ensuring they are stored safely.
    - adhering to Nourish Charity Shop guidelines to sort and price donated clothes, books, shoes etc.
    - provide great customer service on the shop floor, talking to customers and making them feel welcome.
    - create and tidy display units, making sure the shop has attractive and inviting displays

    We expect that all our volunteers work as part of a team and, in addition to the above tasks, have a willingness to undertake routine tasks such as cleaning, rotating stock, sorting, steaming and tagging donations.

    Training provided:As we do with all our volunteers, Nourish will mentor and support you in your volunteering role and will provide you with the opportunity to access training relevant to this role.

    Yes - travel expenses are reimbursable

    Experience required:There are no specific skills or experience needed. An interest in sales and merchandising. A good eye for detail. There are different part time volunteering hours available throughout the week and will be within the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.
