    About this opportunity:Greener Kirkcaldy runs a weekly Community Meal which provides an opportunity for local people to meet each other, share stories, and eat together
     •  Their aim is to turn surplus and unsold food into nutritious meals that anyone in the community can share with dignity and choice
     •  They are looking for additional volunteers who have or would like to develop catering, hospitality or front-of-house experience and good customer service to serve at the community meals
     •  Some light lifting and moving is required, and a knowledge of food hygiene and allergy awareness is desirable, but training will be given
     •  Volunteers are needed every Wednesday from 3
     • 30pm to 7pm

    Training provided:Induction for working in the kitchen will be provided during the taster session. Ongoing training includes REHIS Food Hygiene, First Aid and Manual Handling. Support is provided by the Community Food Team staff as well as a Volunteer Coordinator.

    Yes - Greener Kirkcaldy pays public transport rates (or equivalent if driving) and this can be claimed on a monthly basis.
