About this opportunity:
CHAS are looking for a friendly, organised individual who works well in a team environment to be responsible for opening/closing the shop and supervising the team of volunteers, helping ensure they're confident and supported in their role • If you're looking to learn new skills and meet new people, joining the team will help raise vital funds for CHAS - funds that will make a difference to children and young people with life-shortening conditions •
Volunteers receive a full induction as well as undergoing training modules specific to the role. All volunteers will be supported by the retail team and the voluntary services coordinator to ensure they have the opportunity to both enhance existing skills and to develop new ones to better help in their role.
Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - Reasonable out of pocket expenses incurred in the course of volunteering are reimbursed, including public transport on submission of receipts/tickets or car mileage (45p/mile) every month.
Lead Volunteers need to be organised and be able to work well with others in a busy and fast-paced environment. CHAS are looking for someone that will be customer focused and will enjoy supervising and supporting their team of volunteers.
