About this opportunity: | Are you a team player? Do you have some spare time? Would you like to influence changes in your area? Then join the FFOTRA Board and be a voice for your area • Fife Federation of Tenants & Resident’s Associations (FFOTRA) exists to empower Tenant and Resident's Associations (TRAs) to improve the quality of life in their communities • They partner with the council to develop policies to benefit tenants and residents and enable TRAs to become effective representatives for their communities by providing support, information and advice • FFOTRA want to be out there more getting to know the community as well as being seen to be more actively supporting tenants • They are looking for committee members who would join their board and help with this • The Board meets monthly, with individuals additionally taking on specific issues that they are interested in e • g • sheltered housing, Fife Tenant, Scrutiny Group, Homelessness including attending council meetings and workshops representing FFOTRA • These committee members tend to become champions in their field and are usually available to support and guide those needing assistance • | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Training provided: | An Induction will take place once on board going over the policies etc. A designated mentor will be identified for support. Opportunity to attend training courses as they become available. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Out of pocket expenses paid? | Yes - Out of pocket expenses are refunded in accordance with FFOTRA's expenses policy. These are normally processed once a month but exceptions will be made for those requiring their expenses urgently. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Experience required: | Looking for an outgoing person, willing to contribute and get involved with issues. No previous experience needed but would be an advantage. Training and mentoring will be given. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
