About this opportunity:
The role of the Treasurer will be to:
Liaise with Chairperson and Executive Committee members to ensure the financial viability of the organisation •
Make fellow Executive Committee members aware of their financial obligations and take a lead in interpreting financial data to them •
Regularly report the financial position at Executive Committee meetings (balance sheet, cash flow, fundraising performance, etc) •
Undertake the production of an annual budget and propose its adoption at the last meeting of the previous financial year •
Undertake bookkeeping duties and ensuring posting and bookkeeping is kept up-to-date •
Regularly carry out reconciliations •
Arrange payments to creditors as appropriate and arrange appropriate signatures/authorisations on payments •
Make the necessary arrangements to collect payments from debtors and bank payments promptly •
Attend the organisation's Annual General Meeting and report on the financial position (balance sheet, cash flow, fundraising performance, etc) •
Prepare the annual accounts for submission to OSCR and liaise with an independent examiner •

Knowledge and experience of current and fundraising financial practice relevant to voluntary and community organisations.
Knowledge of bookkeeping and financial management.

Ability to communicate clearly.
