supporting, developing and representing community groups, voluntary organisations, social enterprises and volunteering
Volunteering Opportunity: VO64523
Treasurer with Kinghorn Community Land Association.
Created/last updated: 04/08/2020
About this opportunity:
Kinghorn Community Land Association has been in existence for 11 years and we used the Land Reform Act to purchase land for community ownership, as well as helping our partner organisation, the Ecology Centre to buy land, relocate and build a new centre •
We have a number of exciting projects, all of which require someone with solid bookkeeping and financial management skills as we hope to run part of our business as a social enterprise • We have recently established a community orchard, commissioned an architect to design an iron age style 'columbarium' for the internment of ashes as part of a proposed eco-cemetery and more (see our website and facebook page) • We have agreed a business plan which underpins progression of all of these programmes •
Our treasurer also needs to prepare accounts for our AGM, and be available to get committee members (all live in Kinghorn) to sign cheques •
