    About this opportunity:Do you like cycling and are you looking for an opportunity to develop your skills by becoming a Volunteer Tandem Pilot? Our riders who are blind and sight-impaired need you to go tandem cycling together! The Volunteer Sighted Pilots will be assisting our riders to reach their personal tandem cycling goals while improving your solo bike techniques to tandem cycling
     •  Volunteers will be required to become a full member of Talking Tandems and after induction training relevant to your current cycling skills, attend regular individual or group cycle rides which are delivered across Central and West Fife with occasional trips to East Fife, Forth Valley, Dundee and Edinburgh
     •  Additionally the club deliver short tours across Scotland and occasionally to Europe

    Training provided:Our induction programme includes 'hands-on' experience of riding a tandem bike with experienced pilots and stokers at the Fife Cycle Park and Lochore Meadows Country Park. As demand requires, volunteers will be offered refresher training; tandem cycling coaching sessions; cycle ride leader training; First Aid and bike mechanic courses.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Travel expenses are negotiable for those living outwith Fife. For residents of Fife public transport costs are reimbursed on production of receipts and car mileage allowance of 40p per mile and cycle mileage of 25p per mile. Reimbursed as and when claims

    Experience required:Ideally looking for people who are regular recreational cyclists and feel confident riding on quiet roads with some traffic as well as occasional busy roads. Training will be given to develop skills and techniques on cycling on-road individually and as a group with tandem bikes.
