  • Bowel Cancer UK - Good bowel health and screening: Supporting people with learning disabilities

    Created: 19/04/2018

Bowel cancer is Scotland’s second biggest cancer killer but it shouldn't be because it’s treatable and curable especially if diagnosed early.

This interactive training is for carers and health professionals working to support people with learning disabilities – including NHS staff, Health and Social Care Partnership teams, and voluntary sector care organisations.

You will gain the knowledge and confidence to talk about bowel health and screening. You will get a range of resources to help deliver workshops to people with learning disabilities and their families, other health professionals and carers.

    • Learn about symptoms, risks and screening.
    • Be confident to support people to better bowel health.
    • Plan actions to inform your colleagues and clients.

If you are interested in arranging a FREE workshop please call 0131 281 7351 or e-mail: [email protected].
