    This seminar is aimed at practitioners working across services who would benefit from a basic knowledge of the dynamics, impact and consequences of rape and sexual violence. It is suitable for practitioners who work with victims/survivors of abuse, vulnerable people or perpetrators and is particularly suitable for new staff, students and as part of induction training.

    By the end of the course participants will:

    • Understand what rape and sexual violence is:
    • Explore and understand the meaning of consent:
    • Discuss the impact and consequences of sexual violence on victims, including barriers to reporting:
    • Know where to seek help and support.
