Life Changes Trust - LGBTi Communities and Dementia

There are particular challenges for people affected by dementia who already experience discrimination and marginalisation due to, for example, their race or religion, disability or sexual orientation. The Trust has made a commitment to increase understanding about the particular issues that people from certain ‘protected characteristic’ groups may face when they are affected by dementia.

Projects could be targeted at LGBTi older people generally but must actively engage people living with dementia or people caring for someone who lives with dementia.

The project must contribute to deeper learning about the needs of people living with dementia and unpaid carers, and this learning must be shared more widely.

The next deadline date is 12 January 2018.
