Providers and Personalisation - Survey on future plans
Created: 09/11/2017, Updated: 10/11/2017Providers and Personalisation (P&P) was initially set up to support the implementation of the Self Directed Support (SDS) Strategy in Scotland. This was carried out by supporting third sector providers to engage with the developing agenda for personalisation and SDS. The Programme was also set up to build the capacity of voluntary sector support providers to deliver personalised support provision, through service and workforce redesign.
This programme was in line with the Changing Lives Review of Social Services report which set out recommendations to build capacity to deliver personalised services, build the capacity of the workforce and build capacity for sustainable change.
The programme has been running for seven years and has worked to support many voluntary sector providers, local authorities and other organisations from across Scotland by delivering practice exchange events, carrying out research, publishing policy and practice briefings, representing providers on Scottish Government working groups, developing resources and guides to SDS (including the provider guidance) as well as contributing to many external consultations including Audit Scotland reports. P&P has also worked to ensure providers had a voice in the development of SDS policy and its implementation at local and national level and gives providers the opportunity to share good practice and showcase their work on the journey to SDS.
The P&P programme will soon be up for review and in the spirit of collaboration and co-production they are asking for your opinion on how you would like to see the programme develop in future if the funding were to be extended.
