News/Events Category: VolunteeringBefriending offers supportive, reliable relationships through volunteer befrienders to people who would otherwise be socially isolated. Throughout Fife and the UK there are befriending projects which organise effective support for children and young people, families, people with mental ill-health, people with learning disabilities and older people, amongst many others.
To celebrate Befriending Week, 1-7 November, FVA have put together a special edition of our popular Volunteering in Fife e-bulletin.
The bulletin usually lists details of all new and refreshed volunteering opportunities throughout Fife. However, our special edition is exclusively filled with ALL of the wide variety of befriending, mentoring and befriending-related opportunities that we have registered in Fife. Not sure if befriending is for you? The bulletin also has lots of stories from befrienders, that will let you see what they got from it, as well as a video from the Campaign to End Loneliness.
