Fife's Third Sector and Volunteering Awards Update
The deadline for submitting nominations for this year's Awards Ceremony has been and gone! We received a record number of nominations - just under 300 across all of the categories.
We'd like to thank everybody who took a few minutes to submit a nomination in recognition of the good work volunteers and voluntary organisations do across Fife.
The old cliche of every nominee being a winner is just as valid as ever, but it would make for a very, very long Awards Ceremony, so our independent judging panel met earlier this week to pick winners under each of the categories. It's fair to say that it was not an easy task, but they did a brilliant job. They were really impressed with the quantity and quality of nominations, and learned a lot about what goes on in our communities too.
The shortlisted finalists will all receive invitations to attend the Ceremony, which takes place in Dunfermline during Volunteers' Week (the first week in June).
We're very sorry that we're unable to invite everybody that was nominated, but the venue is simply not big enough. However, every single nominee will receive a certificate of recognition during June.
