Created: 03/10/2016, Updated: 04/10/2016 News/Events Category: Training and Learning

It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.
Despite the constant interest in new and better techniques to recruit volunteers, the true challenge in the volunteer field is first having meaningful work for volunteers to do. Without preparation you run the risk of attracting people who do not really meet your needs and therefore are the wrong volunteers for you; and having the wrong volunteers may be worse than having no volunteers at all.
Included in the course:
Motivations for volunteering;
Developing opportunities;
Methods of recruitment;
Recruitment messages;
Recruitment strategies.
Who should attend
Anyone who has, or is expecting to have, responsibility for recruiting/managing volunteers in their organisation.
Accreditation Award
All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
