  • DWP Flexible Support Fund

    Created: 10/07/2014
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

The DWP has set aside a portion of their Flexible Support Fund. They are looking for new, creative, unique and innovative proposals which will be delivered by a number of organisations working together in partnership. It is a key criteria and minimum requirement is that a proposal can demonstrate collaborative partnership activity with Jobcentre Plus and key stakeholders, including voluntary and community based organisations.

They are looking for applications that add to (but do not replicate) existing Jobcentre Plus services. They particularly welcome applications which are outside the traditional classroom environment and that have been proven to develop life skills and increase outcomes for individuals. The outcome is the capacity to move into work experience, training, employment, education and have the resilience to sustain it.

The minimum requirements should include ‘soft skills’ and one of the following:

    1. Lone Parents on Jobseekers Allowance or Income Support
    2. Claimants aged 25+ in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance in a Work Related Activity Group
    3. Claimants aged 50+
    4. Claimants on Jobseekers Allowance, Income Support, or Employment Support Allowance

They will offer a grant up to the value of £50,000 to a recognised Lead Accountable Body who will manage and be accountable for the money on behalf of the partnership.

The closing date for applications is Friday 08 August 2014 – Any applications received after this date will not be accepted.
