K107FM Celebrates Seventh Consecutive Year of National Recognition
Created: 02/11/2026
K107FM has received national recognition for its contribution to community broadcasting, winning Silver in the ‘Celebrating & Championing Community Radio of the Year’ category at the 2026 Community Radio Awards.
The award was presented at a ceremony in Birmingham, marking the station's seventh consecutive year of success at the national awards.
Based in Kirkcaldy, K107FM provides local news, music and community programming, offering volunteers opportunities to get involved in broadcasting and helping local charities, groups and organisations share their stories.
This year's award submission focused on the station's Local Radio Day 2026 programme, which featured interviews with local MSPs, charities, community groups, event organisers and businesses. The programme celebrated the relationships K107FM has built across Fife and highlighted the important role of community radio in connecting local people.
Jayne Smith, Chair of K107FM, said the recognition was a tremendous achievement for everyone involved with the station, including its volunteers, presenters, supporters and community partners.
The award highlights K107FM's continued commitment to giving local people a voice, encouraging community participation and celebrating the organisations and individuals that make Fife special.
Congratulations to everyone at K107FM!
