Funded by Thrive Renewables and administered by the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE), the programme offers grants of up to £4,500 to support community-led projects that address the climate emergency and deliver positive environmental and social benefits.
They’re looking for projects addressing any of these themes:
- Energy and fuel poverty - energy advice, reducing household energy costs and improving the energy efficiency of community buildings.
- Nature and biodiversity - community gardens, wildlife spaces and local conservation initiatives.
- Climate action and resilience - community climate action, low-carbon travel and behaviour-change projects.
- Sustainable living- repair cafés, reuse schemes, food growing and waste reduction initiatives.
Who can apply?
The scheme is open to constituted, not-for-profit community and voluntary groups with their own bank account and established links to their local community. Projects must take place within a 15-mile radius of an eligible Thrive Renewables installation, and successful applicants must be able to complete their project within six months of receiving funding. In Fife, Thrive have a wind installation in Dunfermline (KY11).
