Through tailored, one-to-one coaching and group sessions, the project helps carers develop self-care techniques and manage stress and other challenges.

Build positive, respectful and empowering relationships that enable people to feel valued, supported and in control of their lives.
Support carers to access relevant self-help materials and encourage their use.
Signpost service users to other appropriate agencies and support services where necessary.
Work collaboratively with the existing Self Help Team to deliver effective, person-centred support.
Meet with service users at community locations across Fife, adapting to their individual needs.
Maintain accurate records and collect relevant data.
The successful candidate will be compassionate, proactive and committed to supporting people experiencing mental health challenges or social exclusion.
Applicants should demonstrate:
A person-centred approach and the ability to build positive, respectful relationships with service users and external agencies.
Empathy, active listening skills and sensitivity to people's emotional and social wellbeing.

An understanding of the challenges faced by carers of people with autism or additional support needs, and a commitment to promoting appropriate self-help resources.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to challenging situations or crises.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Good organisational skills, reliability and the ability to maintain accurate records.
A flexible, practical approach to work and the ability to respond to changing needs.
A current driving licence and access to a reliable, roadworthy car, as travel throughout Fife is essential.
