Understanding Kids consists of six online information sessions for parents/carers of primary aged children.

The sessions cover a variety of topics including; understanding development, emotion regulation, managing distress, positive parenting strategies and supporting your child’s emotional wellbeing.

The sessions provide parents with evidence-based strategies, and information, to support their child to thrive.

  • These sessions will help you understand childhood development from birth and ways to promote and support children’s social and emotional wellbeing.

  • They will give you practical advice on how to support emotion regulation, manage distress and understand behaviour.

  • These information sessions will explore self care for parents, as we know parenting is not an easy job.
