Kingdom Support & Care is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join its team of social care professionals.

You’ll support people across Fife, Forth Valley and Clackmannanshire to overcome challenges, develop their independence and achieve their goals.

The people supported by Kingdom Support & Care have a range of needs, which may include learning disabilities, mental health conditions, autism spectrum conditions, age-related needs, homelessness, alcohol and drug addictions, complex needs and personal care.

About the role

As a Support Worker, you’ll:

  • Build positive, respectful relationships with the people you support.
  • Provide communication support where required.
  • Support people to access educational, leisure and social activities.
  • Help maintain support plans and record changes in people’s circumstances.
  • Assess and manage risks, supporting people to live safely at home.
  • Provide support with health-related needs, including administering medication and attending appointments.

About you

Kingdom is looking for someone who has:

  • A qualification in Health and Social Care, or a willingness to work towards one.
  • The ability to develop positive relationships with the people you support, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A person-centred, respectful and understanding approach to supporting people with a range of needs.
  • A commitment to confidentiality and respecting diversity.
  • Experience of, or an interest in, supporting people to value themselves and others, overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
