Professional Curiosity and Disguised Compliance Webinar
Created: 30/09/2026
This course aims to explore the role, relevance and importance of professional curiosity and how to apply professional curiosity in day-to-day practice.
It also explores the concept of disguised compliance and the relationship between disguised compliance and professional curiosity in relation to adult support and protection.
Participants will have an opportunity for interactive discussions and to reflect on their own practice.
The overall aim of the course is for staff to gain a heightened awareness of professional curiosity and disguised compliance, feel better equipped and more confident to ‘look beyond the face value’, challenge assumptions and promote safer outcomes for those we are working with.
This course is aimed at multi-agency practitioners, support workers and voluntary organisations.
