Many people who have experienced domestic abuse need access to longer-term counselling to recover from trauma, rebuild their confidence and wellbeing, and move forward with their lives. Yet specialist domestic abuse organisations often struggle to secure funding for counselling that is available for as long as people need it.
Through this fund, Henry Smith Foundation want to help sustain access to specialist domestic abuse counselling.
They will provide five-year grants to organisations that have a deep understanding of domestic abuse and the needs of victim-survivors, enabling them to continue providing counselling that helps people recover and rebuild their lives.
This fund is part of their Safer Futures Programme that backs organisations who are supporting people to rebuild their lives after abuse, displacement or prison.
Grant amount: £250,000 (£50,000 per year)
