Join Youth 1st for an engaging and informative online workshop designed to increase understanding and awareness of autism within youth work settings.
This interactive session will explore what autism is and how youth workers, volunteers, and practitioners can better support autistic young people in their everyday practice. Participants will gain a greater understanding of autism, learn practical approaches for creating inclusive environments, and develop confidence in working with young people who may have additional support needs.
The workshop will also provide a brief introduction to other neurodivergent conditions that can co-occur with autism, including:
- ADHD
- Dyslexia
- Dyspraxia
Whether you are new to the topic or looking to build on your existing knowledge, this workshop offers valuable insights, discussion opportunities, and practical guidance to enhance your youth work practice.
