Created: 17/09/2026
News/Events Category: Governance

Speak Up Week aims to encourage a culture where people feel confident and supported to raise concerns, share experiences and contribute ideas tha improve service.

This year's Speak Up Week takes place 28 September - 2 October and is led by the Independent National Whistleblowing Officer (INWO).

Creating an inclusive workplace means creating an environment where people feelsafe to speak up, challenge barriers, share feedback and bring their whole selves towork. It is also about ensuring that voices that are not always heard are listened toand acted upon.

Speak Up Week provides an important reminder of the role psychological safety, inclusive leadership and meaningful staff voice play in creating apositive organisational culture.
